embodying Love through
movement and stillness

love

Is the very essence of what you innately are,
is the heart of where peace expresses itself and where your uniqueness is unquestionable.
From where the impulses to give, to be curious and to be kind arise freely.
In love lives a simultaneous
fluctuation of infolding and unfolding (in to you and out to others),
releasing vibrant waves in search of other waves, without demand to be found or to find.
In the expansion of domination, consumerism and idealisation,
in the need to push for improvement and empowerment we have forgotten the pathways into love,
we’ve mostly lost the ability to hear and to live from the deep wisdom that resides within us.

'the journey back into the love that you most deeply are is waiting for you,
has always been patiently waiting for you'

movement: Yoga & Resilience

Each and every body is extraordinarily intelligent. That intelligence communicates with us daily telling us it's hot, cold, hungry, thirsty, tired, needs a hug and so on.
Within modern life we have largely formed unhelpful habits in response to this communication: staying awake when tired, ignoring the body's needs for water and nutrients, consuming when we really need a hug or to express.
Ending up incapacitated when the body has been sending signals of distress for some time.
Yoga & Resilience movement practice is re-establishing that connection, forging the pathways into that intelligence so we can move and live fully in the rich diversity of being a body.
This is done by re-sensitising to the language of the body and re-habitualising the expression of integrity in the body.

Yoga is a 5000 year old practice (as far as we know) and it came before the arrival of the patriarchy. Within that most modern yoga is presented through the lens of the patriarchal system: which begins with the underlying principle that you are not enough as you are and you must strive to become a better or higher version of yourself.
I offer you yoga from the source of love, beneath and beyond the manipulations of control, ownership and religion.
Where it begins with 'you are perfect just as you are'.
Where self inquiry and intimacy are fostered, so the whole of you has a space to be heard, to be expressed and to be lived from.
Where the body is honoured, respected, loved and enjoyed.

Resilience training has derived from yoga- it has a much simpler vocabulary in terms of movements used. Its primary invitation is to dissolve into the experience within, so that experience then reverberates into a more tangible intimacy with the natural world outside (of us).
Many people associate the word resilience with the ability to stay strong, to fight on. Which could not be more contrary to where our trainings in resilience guide one. We invite you into the deep heart of what is, so that heart of experience can provide an undeniable peace from which the need to not be strong or to not fight can safely be expressed.

'movement practice is letting go of what you can Get into finding out what can you Give ~ to your body'
Yoga & resilience trainings are a hugely supportive foundation for somatic meditation.

stillness: Somatic Meditation & Pranayama (intimacy with the breath)

Perhaps now more than ever the practice of sitting still is a necessity rather than a luxury.  The excelled rate in which we live gives little time to ingest and digest life's slings, arrows and triumphs.  Which can too often mean we have to reach burn out, sickness or break down before stillness is bestowed on us.
Relinquishing any notion that the mind needs to be mastered or coerced into a specific state Somatic Meditation is the invitation for the mind to relax, which happens naturally by becoming intimate with the body.  Not only does this provide assimilation and integration of daily life, but also cultivates the ability to live in a more visceral experience of life. Living integrated with the body (rather than just from the mind).
Breathing practises that are given are to support the body deepening in its structural integrity and waking the mind from its sleepiness. Through the simple but potent lens of the rhythmic presence of the breath an intimacy can unfold with the many cycles of life itself.
