Cost: You will see you have an option of how much to pay from £50 - £75 for this course, allowing you to respond from your current financial circumstances. If you would like to join and are not able to pay the minimum, send an email (and we'll find an option that works for you).
Where: These are being held at Barnfield studio, which is located just off the A40 between Brecon and Sennybridge. There is plenty of parking outside. Full details will be sent to you when you book.
Combining with online: These in-person workshops are running along-side the online courses each month. The content being similar, online to in-person. If you would like to have the new recordings each week (which includes a 45 min movement session and 15 min breathing practice), you are very welcome to (you are also welcome to attend live on Wednesdays at 10.15- 11.30). This will give you more support to embody and practise, on your own, at home during the 4 weeks before we meet again.
Can you join any monthly workshop at anytime: Yes. The courses are designed so they are complete in themselves, however if you do more than one, you will notice how they compliment and support each other: to develop different layers in understanding and embodiment.
What does a session involve: - Breathing Practice - Movement - Meditation - A little space to share and/or ask questions at the end
What do you need to bring: Olivia will provide a yoga mat, mediation cushion and blanket for you to use. However feel free to bring your own if you prefer. There will also be water (if you don't bring a bottle of your own). Wear comfortable clothes for moving in and a meditation shawl (something to wrap around you, could also be a cosy jumper-if you like to use one).
Will there be any theory work on these courses: No, everything will be practical.
What are the movements you will be practicing: With their lineage deep in Yoga all the movements are from the 'Resilience Trainings', and they will guide you in: - protecting the vulnerability of your joints. - learning how each body part can and needs to support each and every body part. - quietening the mind: so that the intelligence of your body can guide you. - feeling more mobile, comfortable and at ease: whilst moving around in your daily activities (when off the mat). - feeling more connected, whole, trusting, open and joyful
What are the breathing practises you will be guided into: Each month you will be guided into an intimacy with your breathing; through learning active and passive breathing practices: Active practices: strengthen core muscles (plus many more benifits). Passive practices: develop intimacy with your unique breathing pattern, whilst inviting your breath to become free (from long held tensions, strains and anxieties).
